“There’s a lot of work still to be done on that, but I predict we will eventually get that START Treaty passed.”

“I think the House is going to submit a very lean, tight, tough budget.”

“...every econometric model, every basic economist out there says, look, this is going to grow the economy faster next year than it would have. The projections are instead of the economy growing at a--the GDP growing at a roughly 2.5 percent, some suggest it would grow as high as 4 percent.”

Joe Biden appeared on Meet the Press and made this prediction about the expanded growth in the economy because of the tax cut deal. We'll check back in a year.

“And this is a bill full of things that will immediately benefit our economy.”

The Mayor of Newark predicted this about the President's tax deal with the Republicans.

“The Tea Party will turn on the Republicans as well as the Democrats...”

It will be interesting to see how often the Tea Party actually doesn't fold in the face of the establishment proposals. The Tea Party is as fake of a "movement" as there has ever been.

“... it's going to improve the economy under Barack Obama's watch. And it's going to accrue to the benefit of Barack Obama's presidential hopes, and I think with Democrats in general.”

Juan Williams on the President's tax compromise. Let's see how this shakes out a few months before the 2012 Presidential Elections.

“There was nothing tough about this bill ... it straps us with another trillion dollars worth of debt ... And how did Moody's respond? By saying, 'You know, over the next two years we may have to devalue your bond rating just like Ireland's'.”

Joe Scarborough predicts that within two years, the United State's bond rating will be downgraded.

“Mr. Orban has overseen passage of two media laws that will put Hungary in a league with Russia and Belarus on press freedom..”

“I hope that, when we pass this legislation, that we will understand that we are doing great damage.”

This is in regards to the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". I really wonder what McCain expects this 'great damage' to be. We'll check back in a few years. If our soldiers, gay and straight, are still getting killed in pointless wars, then I guess we're okay, right?

“it could disrupt unit cohesion and, as the commandant said, cost lives.”

Senator Kyl repeating the line that the repeal of DADT could 'cost lives'.

“We're starting it in July of 2011, and we're going to be totally out of there come hell or high water by 2014.”

Joe Biden said this regarding American troops in Afghanistan. Let's see how that goes.

“By replacing market forces and technological solutions with bureaucratic oversight, we may see an Internet future not quite as bright as we need, with less investment, less innovation and more congestion.”

The Republican FCC Commissioner is fear mongering about net neutrality rules. The US can't do much worse, with some of the slowest broadband speeds in the developed world, but let's check back in five years, and see how much investment is going into, and innovation is coming out of, the internet.

“And we’re not going to sink into the abyss if we reduce spending in America.”

It will be interesting to see what happens to the crime rate and poverty level as America goes through this needless austerity process. Though I'm certain Senator Sessions would never have to face the "abyss", I'm guessing there will be millions of Americans who will not be so lucky.

“... we just told our NATO allies a few weeks ago to ignore that 2014 deadline because we're going to be there past 2014.”

Andrea Mitchell predicts we will still be in Afghanistan after 2014, despite the assurances of the Obama Administration.

“"Obamacare" is going to cost us $2 billion, Chris, by 2022 in unfunded mandates.”
